D Udaya Kumar had won a nationwide contest run by the government to design a symbol for the Indian rupee. A symbol he designed, incorporating elements of Devanagari and Roman scripts, had been chosen to represent India’s growing economy and its currency. It would be incorporated in Unicode, computer keyboards will have a dedicated key for the symbol and it will come to be seen and recognised around the world. A designer gets to create a currency symbol just once in a nation’s life.

The Epic Browser is the first-ever web browser for India and the first product from the software company Hidden Reflex.

Hidden Reflex is a software product startup founded by Alok Bhardwaj in 2007 and based in Bangalore. Alok, who was raised in the U.S., was inspired by the success of open source software and web 2.0 innovations. Hidden Reflex began as a team of three but soon progressed and now has dedicated teams working on two products simultaneously – the Epic Browser and NewsDrink. The company also has three patents pending related to its product innovations.

The company’s vision is to become the first globally recognized, consumer-oriented software product company in India.

Bhagwant University Engineering Students created new version of NANO Car

Inspired by TATA NANO, the students of Ajmer are working overtime in creating a dream car for the middle class families. These engineering students of Bhagwant University have toiled eight hours a day from the last one year and now they come up with a small car. This car runs on diesel and this car cost only seventy thousands only.
Chaturbhuj Sharma, Engineering student, said that when TATA launched its NANO car then they started thinking about all the areas where costs can be cut and their basic idea was to locate all factors through which costs can be reduced and their car is on reach of the middle class.

Samir Singh, Engineering students said that they had to change a lot designs and specifications to increase the fuel economy of the car and through their team efforts this car will run thirty five kilometers per litre.
Engineering students has fitted the Lambretta engine and Fiat Suspension system in their NANO Version.
College authorities are now planning to get a patent for this students design. College authorities are also seeing to tie up with a major automobile company to launch the NANO version made by the engineering students.
